Rehabilitation treatment and strategy for rare disease.
Dear Colleagues,
Rare diseases, though individually uncommon, collectively affect millions of individuals worldwide. Many of these conditions result in physical, neurological, or systemic impairments that significantly impact daily life and long-term health. Due to the rarity and heterogeneity of these diseases, rehabilitation strategies tailored to their unique pathophysiology remain underexplored. This Special Issue, "Rehabilitation Treatment and Strategy for Rare Diseases," aims to enhance understanding and insight into effective rehabilitation approaches for individuals with rare conditions.
We invite submissions addressing various rehabilitation strategies, including but not limited to physical therapy, occupational therapy, assistive technology, neurorehabilitation, and multidisciplinary approaches, in rare diseases.
Rare disease includes all stage of life span from pediatrics to elderly.
Regarding adult to elderly, the treatment of intractable neurological and neuromuscular disease has been much advanced these several years, depend on this, the newly strategies of rehabilitation approaches are important. We welcome to manuscripts related to important insight of single case, newly method of robot, neurorehabilitation and so on and combined therapy with others.
We seek research focusing on pediatric rare diseases, emphasizing early intervention, developmental support, and long-term rehabilitation strategies tailored to the needs of children with rare conditions. The inclusion of pediatric-specific rehabilitation approaches will contribute to advancing knowledge and improving care for young patients facing unique challenges associated with rare diseases.
We welcome all types of manuscripts, including Original Articles, Correspondences, and Reviews.
