The Management of Spasticity: From Evaluation to Therapy.
Dear Colleagues,
Effective management of spasticity is essential for facilitating rehabilitation treatment and achieving the goal of promoting social participation.
Various options are available for the treatment of spasticity, including botulinum toxin therapy, physical therapy, orthotic therapy, intrathecal baclofen therapy, surgical approaches, magnetic stimulation therapy, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy.
In addition, there are multiple key factors for improving the quality of spasticity treatment, such as appropriate assessment of spasticity, enhancement of therapeutic techniques to maximize their effectiveness, and the combination of rehabilitation
treatments.
This special issue, titled The Management of Spasticity: From Evaluation to Therapy, aims to build evidence for spasticity treatment and provide deeper understanding and insights.
